Create your creator channel

Creator onboarding helps you create a public channel with the information members need before you publish and share it.

What you need

Have the following ready:

  • profile photo;
  • name;
  • verified email address;
  • channel name and URL;
  • age eligibility information;
  • one to three focus categories;
  • social links, if you want to display them;
  • at least one real post before external promotion.

Create your channel

  1. Choose Creator during sign-up.
  2. Add or confirm your profile photo, name, password, and age eligibility.
  3. Choose a channel name and URL.
  4. Select one to three focus categories. Your first selection becomes your primary category.
  5. Add supported social usernames or full URLs.
  6. Verify your email address.
  7. Complete the onboarding checklist.

Before you share

You must publish at least one real post before sharing or publishing an externally promoted channel. Use the checklist to confirm your profile photo, email verification, first post, channel publication, and sharing steps.

Chapters created during onboarding

Suggested chapters are created automatically based on the focus categories you select:

  • Selecting 1 focus category creates 4 suggested chapters.
  • Selecting 2 focus categories creates 8 suggested chapters.
  • Selecting more than 2 focus categories still creates a maximum of 8 suggested chapters.
  • If 8 chapters are created during onboarding, you can manually create 4 additional chapters afterwards.
  • The maximum is therefore 12 chapters in total.

Channel link

Use the channel invite link to send people directly to your public channel. After you copy the link, VAST shows a confirmation that it was copied.
